The program Link is a specific part of DCK, aimed at establishing cooperation between manufacturers, designers and design students from Poland and abroad. This activity will be based on the existing and dynamically developing Kielce Trade Fair. The Link program will offer to the participants of the Kielce Fair, promotional and educational evening events, such as lectures, presentations and reviews of current projects. This will be a way of promoting the value of design in production, marketing and consumption, as well as an opportunity for gathering and for establishing network among invited manufacturers and creators (designers and artists).
The purpose of these encounters is to focus on innovative designs and trends developed by designers in Poland and abroad. This communication will substantiate and strengthen the position and level of good design as a valuable and essential element in the competitive reality of today’s market.
The anticipated result is cooperation and direct connections between the forces of design and production. The Centrum will engage in consulting and coordinating opportunities for cooperation in this field.
DCK will develop close coordination with the Board of Directors of Kielce Trade Fair to initiate particular programs corresponding with exhibitions at the Fair. Plans will also be made to prepare evening events, pertinent to the subject (exhibitions, conferences and discussions). DCK will also initiate international competitions linked to particular kinds of products. Such competitions will be directed towards design companies, schools and individual designers. The most important outcome, however, will be establishing contacts and future cooperation with the producers and manufacturing companies.
Exhibitions and presentations will be protected against violation of intellectual property law. Informative activities will be conducted at the Centrum about legal property rights in industrial and product design.
Details and provisions of the “Link” program are contained in the participation regulations.
